The Wand
For a lot of people, the worst part of the dentist is the injection to numb the tooth. The Wand takes that fear away. It gives local anaesthetic almost completely painlessly, without the big needle, the sting, or hours of feeling numb afterwards.
It works by numbing the surface of the gum first, then releasing the anaesthetic slowly and in a way that numbs only the area we are working on. Most patients are surprised at how easy it is, and it works especially well for nervous patients and children.
X-rays let us see the parts of your teeth we cannot see by looking, like decay between teeth or the bone around the roots. Ours are digital rather than old-fashioned film.
For you, that means three things. The dose of radiation is far lower. The image appears on the screen straight away, so there is no waiting about. And we can show it to you and point out exactly what we have found, rather than asking you to take our word for it.

The Endodontic Microscope
Root canal treatment means cleaning out the tiny canals inside a tooth, and they really are tiny. Our endodontic microscope magnifies and lights up the inside of the tooth, so we can see clearly and work precisely.
That precision helps us save teeth that might otherwise have to come out. It is also why other dentists refer their trickier root canal cases to us.
Air polishing is a modern way to clean your teeth. Instead of scraping, it uses a controlled jet of fine powder, warm water and air to lift away stain and soft plaque, including the marks left by tea, coffee, red wine and smoking.
Most people find it more comfortable than a traditional scale and polish, and it leaves teeth feeling clean and looking brighter with no drilling and no treatment. It is available as part of a hygiene appointment.
