Longer than you may be used to. We book longer appointments on purpose so there is time to examine properly, explain what we have found and answer your questions without anyone watching the clock.

For most people every six months. If your teeth and gums are in good shape we may stretch it to a year. If something needs watching we will want to see you sooner. We will tell you what suits your mouth rather than apply a blanket rule.

A new patient examination is £92 and includes any X-rays you need, a full set of photos and a written treatment plan. A routine examination for existing patients is £55. Children are £46 and £27.50.

No. We take them when we need to see something we cannot see by looking, usually decay between teeth or bone levels around the roots. Our X-rays are digital, so the dose is far lower than older film.

No, and you are in good company. Several of our patients came to us after ten years or more away, usually after a bad experience elsewhere. We start with where you are now and work out what to do from there.

Tell us when you book. We use The Wand, which numbs you without the big needle or the sting, and most patients are surprised at how easy it is. You can bring someone in with you or hold a nurse's hand. We also offer oral or intravenous sedation if you need it, though many patients who have only ever had treatment under sedation find they manage without it here.

Only if you want us to and there is time. Normally we examine, explain and give you a written plan, then you decide. If you are in pain we will always try to make you comfortable the same day.

We are a private practice. That means longer appointments and no restrictions on materials or techniques. All our prices are published, and our Practice Plan lets you spread routine care across monthly payments.

Yes. A child examination is £27.50, or £46 for a first visit. Bringing children along to your own appointments early on is one of the best ways to stop them being frightened of the dentist later.
