Sara graduated from the University of Porto in 2016 with a Master's Degree in Dentistry. She now works only in orthodontics, which is the part of dentistry that straightens teeth and corrects the bite.
Most of her work uses clear aligners, the removable see-through trays that move teeth into place without metal braces. She has spent years focusing on exactly how aligners move teeth, and has taken postgraduate courses in this area. She also offers fixed braces where they are the better choice. In 2023 she was named a finalist for Best Young Dentist in the South.
Sara also sees children from around the age of six. Straightening is about far more than looks: guiding teeth and jaws early can make room for adult teeth, help the bite settle, and make teeth easier to keep clean.
