What We Do

Our Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments

Teeth Whitening

Lighten the natural colour of your teeth and lift the stains that build up over time. Done in the practice in about an hour, or at home with custom trays. We agree the shade with you first.

Veneers

Thin shells, in porcelain or composite, that sit over the front of a tooth to change its colour, shape or size. Good for chips, gaps and worn or uneven teeth.

What Our Patients Say

Rated five stars by patients like you.

The Basics

What is Cosmetic Dentistry?

Cosmetic dentistry is the work that changes how your teeth look, rather than fixing pain or disease. That means the colour, the shape, how even they are, and the gaps between them. There are many options, from a simple whitening treatment through to a full smile makeover, and we help you pick the one that suits your teeth and your budget.
For most of our patients this is about confidence. A lot of people cover their mouth when they laugh, or keep it closed in photos. The patients who write to us mention this exact thing, that they can finally smile at people again without thinking about it.
We always start with the least invasive option that will get you there. Whitening and bonding change very little of the tooth, so they are often a sensible first step before anything bigger. And if the dentist makes you nervous, tell us. Longer appointments and The Wand, for almost pain- free injections, make a real difference.

Why It Matters

Reasons People Choose Cosmetic Dentistry

You stop hiding your smile

When you are happy with your teeth, you stop thinking about them. No hand over the mouth, no closed-lip photos.

It can be a small change

You do not have to start big. Whitening, or a little bonding, is often all it takes to feel better about your smile.

Confidence that shows

Our patients tell us this again and again. Feeling good about your smile changes how you come across, at work and socially.

It is planned around you

We look at your teeth, what bothers you and your budget, then suggest what fits. Not a one-size-fits-all package.

Gentle, even if you are nervous

The same care that runs through the whole practice. Longer appointments, The Wand for almost pain-free injections, and a hand to hold if you want one.

You see the cost up front

An itemised price before anything starts, and finance or the Practice Plan to spread it if you need to.

The Process

How a Cosmetic Treatment Works

01

We talk about what you want

Before anything else, we ask what you would change about your smile. Bring a photo if it helps. If you are nervous, tell us, it changes how we do things.

02

A proper look, and honest options

We check your teeth and gums are healthy first, then talk you through the options that would actually work, from the simplest to the fullest, with the pros and cons of each.

03

A written plan and a price

Every option, what each one costs, and roughly how long it takes. No pressure to pick the biggest one. You decide from there.

04

Your treatment, at your pace

We start when you are ready. Whitening and
bonding can often be done soon after. Veneers have a lab stage, so they take a few weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions patients ask us.

A few of the things patients ask us most often. If your question isn't here, just get in touch — we're happy to talk it through.

Whitening lightens the natural colour of your teeth and lifts the stains that build up over time. We offer it two ways: a treatment in the practice that takes about an hour, and a take-home kit with custom-made trays you wear overnight, or for one to two hours during the day. Many patients have both, the in-practice treatment plus a kit to top up at home later. We agree the shade you are aiming for with you at the start.

A smile makeover just means more than one cosmetic treatment planned together, so the result looks right as a whole rather than one tooth at a time. It might combine whitening, some bonding and a couple of veneers, for example. We plan it around your face, then show you the steps and the total cost before we start.

A veneer is a thin shell that covers only the front of the tooth. A crown covers the whole tooth. Because a veneer sits on the front surface, less of your natural tooth is removed, so we tend to use veneers to change the look of teeth that are basically sound, and crowns where a tooth is heavily broken down or root-treated and needs full protection.

Both change the colour and shape of a tooth. Composite is built up in a single visit and costs less, but it is not as hard-wearing or as stain-resistant as porcelain. Porcelain is made in a lab, so it takes a few weeks and costs more, but it lasts longer and holds its colour. We will tell you honestly which suits your teeth and your budget.

With good care, bonded teeth usually last around five to six years before they need a repair or a polish. Bonding is long-lasting but not permanent. The resin is not as strong as natural enamel, so it can chip or stain over time. Looking after it, and not using your front teeth as tools, helps it last.

Most of it is very gentle. Whitening and bonding usually need no injection at all. Where we do need to numb a tooth, we use The Wand, which numbs you without the big needle or the sting. Tell us if you are nervous and we will take it at your pace, with longer appointments and a hand to hold if you want one.

Not unless you ask for bright white. We match the colour, shape and size to your face and to the teeth next to them, so the result looks like your own teeth on a good day rather than someone else's. You have a say in the shade before we start.

Yes. We are a private practice and we publish our prices, so you get an itemised cost before anything starts. You can pay using finance, and our Practice Plan lets you spread the cost of routine care across the year with a simple monthly payment.
